My head is full of stats, trying to absorb America’s quiet un-community of childless women. Add up the childcare by choice ladies and the ‘How’d this happen?’ ladies and you’re looking at a fifth of adult women in the U.S.
But, “One in 5” sounds like the dry statistic it is. I tried to put some humanity in it:
If you know 5 women in their 40s, studies predict that one of them will remain childless for the rest of her life.
Better, but somewhat intimidating.
The objective is to remind women without children that no matter how it appears in their neighborhood, they are definitely not alone.
Every group of 5 women includes 1 NotMom.
Simple. To the point.
